CA trip part 2: Perazzo Reunion 2014

We caught Jacob, Susan, and Owen in Sacramento as they were leaving from the Perazzo reunion and we were heading to it.

D: Owen is a long kid: super long arms and legs and huge hands. He was so much fun to play with. He warmed up to the very friendly dog much faster than Everett did, though Everett eventually came around.

Quick Camp Summary:
I love my family! I was super happy to see everyone who was there. I wish I could have spent more time with each of them. The weather was nice, the food was delicious. There was a nice balance of going to the lake, playing board/card games, playing volley/bocce ball, and visiting. Dallin did have to separate himself for some alone time once or twice when he wasn't sure he could play another game, but had a lot of fun. Dallin and I got to the quarter finals of the pinochle tournament (by getting one bye :)). Out of the two out of four card tournaments (Hearts, Spades, Rook) we were there for, that was the extent of our success.

Dallin insisted on taking this picture of us before we headed to the lake.

The water had pollen in it the first day, but it cleared up by the next.
Everett almost fell asleep on the boat again this year.
I went tubing (slow, smooth, and straight) with Everett. Dallin tried water skiing for the first time and got up for a few seconds. He enjoyed that and said it felt pretty cool.

D: Everett was not a fan of the tubing experience, but Alicia said since he wasn't whimpering the whole time it must not have been too bad.

D: Good view of Ev's fat lip from his freak deflated inflatable bed accident (more on that later). He also looks like a toadstool.

Elise was super excited when the boat pulled in to shore with her dad and grandpa on board.

D: And that is how Everett learned the word "Daddy," which is now his favorite word (no more "Dada"). The rest of camp he would randomly start yelling "Daddy? Daddy?" and wouldn't stop until he'd found me.

I think Everett and Elise are adorable together. They liked to sneak ice out of the ice machine, and get balls and other toys out of the camp's box of recreation items.

We gave Everett his own bocce ball so that he wouldn't feel the need to take one of the ones the others were using.
He tends to want whatever someone else is using, especially balls and pens.

My dad sure loves his grandkids.

Hannah borrowed our camera...

Oh volleyball, how I love thee. Married adults (and Hannah) vs. the younger fellows ended up being pretty evenly matched. I took it easy for the most part. I did forget a couple of times about the whole pregnancy thing and dove for the ball, but I didn't hurt anything/one. I didn't really save the volleyball either, but that's a different story.
Cheering section

Everett loved to get dirty, carry around toys/food, tail his cousins, and go exploring.
He kept his hat on really well. It seemed like he would take his hat being put on as a signal that it was time to go on an adventure. So he would just get up and start wandering. One time I just let him wander where he wanted and followed behind him as he headed all the way down to the meadow.
He managed to hurt himself at least once a day and needed a bath every night. The first morning he split his lip from jumping onto a deflated air mattress. He and Elise had been playing on it as a filled mattress not long before.
When I say get dirty, I mean he liked to put dirt on himself and rub it around. We let him until he started putting it in his eyes and mouth.
