Everett and Adeline attended a talent week day camp at the rec center. For the talent show Adeline did a puppet show in which the puppets told jokes and Everett read part of a choose-your-own-adventure story he had written. They also participated in a sports-themed summer day camp at SFA.

Miscellaneous papers:
Pages from Everett's notebook

Everett learned a bit of family history

For a while, Adeline kept making activity pages like this "find the one that's different" picture.

Notes and pictures by Adeline

A note from Adeline and Everett to Peter "We love you. You are nice sometime."

This is from the hospital papers after the twins' birth. It means that the twins each had their own placenta and amniotic sac.

Papers from the end of the school year for Everett and Adeline

Jackie came to help with the final packing and moving. She and Dallin took the kids mini-golfing.

Loading the pod

Traveling to UT
Dallin drove with three of the kids. The kids did really well on the long drive. They liked watching movies in the car, staying in hotels, and eating at restaurants.

Alicia flew to Reno with her mom, Everett, Samuel, and Renee.
Four generations (Renee in blue blanket)

The kids enjoyed playing in their grandparents' irrigated yard

Dallin picked up those who had flown to NV in Fallon. After staying there for about a week we all drove to Utah.

We stopped near Elko and stayed with Alicia's cousin who also has a new baby. Abram was trying to find a boy baby there too, thinking that all babies came in boy/girl pairs.

Once in Utah, we first stayed at Alicia's grandma's house because our pod hadn't arrived yet.

On Peter's birthday, he opened some presents at his great grandma's house and we had banana cake at Adventure Heights All Abilities Park in Spanish Fork.

We celebrated Peter and Abram's birthdays with extended family in the yard and swimming pool of a friend of the family.

Our pod arrived!

We had the baby blessings for the twins in Jacob and Susan's house with lots of family in attendance.

We had a family reunion with all of David and Jackie's kids and grandkids at some cabins in Spanish Fork Canyon. The kids had a blast with the nearby pond.

Tuckered out from playing hard. Ev slept with some of the cousins in a loft for the first couple nights while the other older kids slept in the living room area of one of the cabins.

Cousin Brigham really wanted to hold the babies.

There was a trail we could go up to look over the cabin and the surrounding valley.

Visiting with the Marr family
We've loved living near Julie and Grandma Marr and have appreciated their frequent help.
(Some of the pictures on here were taken by Julie Marr and there are a lot more on her Facebook page you could enjoy.)

Everett and Peter's bunkbed. They used to rotate who slept where, but recently decided Ev sleeps on bottom so he can read easier at night.

Little pool party in the backyard with cousins

First day of School! Everett is in 3rd grade and Adeline is in 1st. Peter is in kindergarten and started a week later.

Some papers from Adeline's first weeks of first grade

Papers from Everett's first weeks of third grade

A few different nights we roasted hotdogs and/or marshmallows with Jacob and Susan's family in their fire pit.

Dallin and Alicia went on a date to the Ashton Gardens to celebrate Alicia's birthday. It was the last day of the Nature Connects exhibition there so we got to see cool Lego sculptures throughout the gardens.

Dallin's cousin Benjamin is attending BYU so it's fun to live near him. Here he is meeting the twins.

Kids Playing and lots of baby videos

We had a rooster in the back yard for a week or two.

Shannon set up a photo session for the Marr cousins with FotoFly. We loved living near their family for a little while before they moved to their new home in CA.

We've loved trying out lots of new parks and using our Thanksgiving Point pass a few times.

Inside Ashton Gardens is the Light of the World garden, which depicts various scenes from Jesus's life and events from after His resurrection. The sculpture in the video below depicts Jesus with the woman taken in adultery. Check out https://lightoftheworldgarden.com/ if you want to see more of the garden.

Pictures on the day the babies turned 6 months old

Dallin took Everett and Adeline to a performance of Peter Pan's Great Adventure and he took the three oldest to The Spongebob Musical (birthday gifts to November kids)

Thanksgiving trip to Fallon

These three pictures were taken by Alicia Guerrero Perazzo:

Everett's birthday- He wanted to ride a four-wheeler by himself as his main birthday request. His Uncle Daniel made that possible. Most of the cousins and aunts went to the movie theater and watched Encanto together. Game played with cousins- when someone rolls doubles they get to try to open and eat as much chocolate as they'd like using a knife and fork while wearing a glove and oven mitt before another person rolls doubles and has a chance

Abram quote: "It’s a whale shark. First it was a whale and then it was so sharky."

Differences between the babies at about 4 months old:

Renee - more likely to: get hiccups, hold still, try to sit up, seem observant, eat noisily, grab at fabrics, play with a toy

Samuel- more likely to: spit up, drool, smile, laugh, babble, spaz out, take a bottle, try to stuff both of his fists in his mouth, resist sleep

Now at almost 7 months most of those are still true, though both babies can sit up well now (Samuel did so first) Renee eats more quietly now, both like to play with toys, though Renee seems more curious about more objects. Renee can scoot backwards and Samuel babbles much more, including saying Mama and Dadda (Dadda first). Renee used to be referred to as "The Sad One" by some of her cousins, but now I'd say Samuel is the one more likely to become noisily upset. Renee had a gag reflex to anything that wasn't liquid until about a week ago when she started being able to swallow purees.

I (Alicia) say these differences not to compare as if one is better than the other, but because I think it's interesting to see how all babies are different, even when they are being raised in the same environment. When we recently visited my cousin Sarah's baby who is only slightly older than the twins, it was fun to see that she can crawl and clap and has lots of hair, all of which are not true of my babies.

Unexpected things about having twins: If part of one baby comes too close to the other's mouth there is a good chance it will get sucked on. I have seen Renee suck on Samuel's toes, and Samuel suck on the back of Renee's head. I have accidentally almost set one baby down in a crib on top of the other baby. It can be tricky to not have the babies bonk heads while holding them. One of the most common things strangers say to me while I have the twins is to tell me their relationship to a set of twins. It seems as if all of a sudden everyone is a twin, has twins, etc. When I ask for advice, I most often get told that it will get easier.

We feel settled in here in Pleasant Grove. Dallin's internship is going well. We love living by so much family.
