Baseball/Softball Pictures

Dallin here. Finally coming up for air after a crazy year and a half of intense schooling. I have a class in the Fall, a class in the Winter, my portfolio, and my internship. Then I'm done with my Ed.S. degree in School Psychology.

Recent developmental milestones from the kids:
Adeline-
  • Says "Mama" in reference to Alicia
  • Sits up by herself
  • Smiles all the time
  • Responds to her name (not 100% yet)
  • Eats rice, bread, bananas, almost anything if given in small bites
  • Rolls over from back to front
  • Goes to sleep by herself when placed in bed awake (happy mommy and daddy)
  • Takes more frequent naps (very happy mommy and daddy)
Everett-
  • Poops in the potty chair consistently
  • Says "Huh?" way too often. I probably taught him that
  • Has been asking to go to bed without songs
  • Sings to himself. Sometimes songs he's been taught, sometimes songs he's making up about what he's doing.
We've been putting away Adeline's 6 month clothes, and we found the baseball outfit that Everett wore when he was 6 months. Alicia got some adorable pictures of him in it at the time (evidence below), so we thought we'd take some pictures of Adeline in the same outfit. Adeline's pictures are with Alicia's catcher mitt and softballs.

Everett - 6/1/2013 (6 months, 5 days)

Adeline - 6/19/2015 (7 months, 13 days)

San Jose and Marysville trips

San Jose

Gilroy Gardens
Family Theme Park

Our son is not a daredevil. We eased him into the idea of going on rides by first letting him ride the carousel sitting on a bench instead of a moving horse. But soon we had to just strap him in on the "max 48in, sit independently" rides by himself or with Axel and tell him he was having fun. Dallin called it "exposure therapy". Most of the time it worked. He would get going on the ride, accept his fate, and crack a smile or two. Adeline got to go on one ride. She sat by me in a swinging hot air balloon and I think she liked it. She spent most of her time with her Great-Grandpa Beagley.

Ev was super excited about going on the paddle boats. Those and maybe the cars were the only things he didn't seem reluctant about going on.

We helped Jeff and Tracy celebrate their anniversary by letting them ride alone in a boat. :)

Marysville

After getting back Monday night from San Jose, I took off with the kids and Julie and Roberta Marr on Tuesday morning for a trip to Marysville. Ev sang for a good portion of the drive over.
Joel and Staci were our gracious hosts. Wednesday morning some of us went to the Pacific Science Center where we met up with one of my best friends, Christy. It was really nice spending time with her and with Devon and Whitney, all of whom I miss living close to. Thursday night a couple of us went with my kids to a playground at Jennings Park, which also has a beautiful garden and pond.

I think Devon took this on Christy's phone
