Family Theme Park
Our son is not a daredevil. We eased him into the idea of going on rides by first letting him ride the carousel sitting on a bench instead of a moving horse. But soon we had to just strap him in on the "max 48in, sit independently" rides by himself or with Axel and tell him he was having fun. Dallin called it "exposure therapy". Most of the time it worked. He would get going on the ride, accept his fate, and crack a smile or two. Adeline got to go on one ride. She sat by me in a swinging hot air balloon and I think she liked it. She spent most of her time with her Great-Grandpa Beagley.

Ev was super excited about going on the paddle boats. Those and maybe the cars were the only things he didn't seem reluctant about going on.
Marysville
After getting back Monday night from San Jose, I took off with the kids and Julie and Roberta Marr on Tuesday morning for a trip to Marysville. Ev sang for a good portion of the drive over.Joel and Staci were our gracious hosts. Wednesday morning some of us went to the Pacific Science Center where we met up with one of my best friends, Christy. It was really nice spending time with her and with Devon and Whitney, all of whom I miss living close to. Thursday night a couple of us went with my kids to a playground at Jennings Park, which also has a beautiful garden and pond.
