Reno Aces game

A: I went to a Reno Aces game two nights ago. It was Northern Nevada Dairymen's night and so my dad and Uncle Alan had a bunch of tickets we gave to some friends and family. I got to go down on the field so I could film my dad pitch the "first pitch". This is of him with Cowabunga a few minutes before the throw.

And here's the pitch! Despite what you might have heard, it only bounced once before the plate. The catcher signed the ball afterwards, "To Adam".

I probably missed more of the actual game than I saw but I had a lot of fun nonetheless. I like the atmosphere of games: the music, cheering, competitiveness, trying to be on the big screen, the baseball card set giveaway by the Northern NV Dairymen. I enjoy watching drunk people who are just drunk enough to come up with the perfect things to yell at the ump but not quite drunk enough to be obnoxious or dump their beer on people. To keep with the baseball spirit my cousin Sarah ate a hot dog, and my brother Daniel and I shared a huge Triple Play Sandwich that contained brisket, bbq meatballs, pulled pork, and coleslaw. I don't even like coleslaw but it mellowed the spiciness and the whole thing was delish.
It was a close game and went in to extra-innings with us losing to the Tucson Padres 8-6.

Before the game, I took pictures of Everett in his cute baseball outfit. Sadly there wasn't enough room on my SD card for more than the picture and video above so I didn't take any of him at the game. When it got a little cold I had a warmer baseball uniform with an A's jacket (thank you Andrew via Hannah) and a baseball blanket (thank you Grandma Perazzo) for him. Whoever said that you can only play dress up when you have daughters? He was really well behaved throughout the whole trip and game, even when the game went over two hours past his bedtime.
