A: Everett grew too long for his bassinet in our room so we graduated him up to his crib in the nursery across the hall. He looks so tiny in the big crib. When Dallin and I were in San Jose, my dad was super nice and set up the crib and changing table and fixed the rocker/recliner. When he and Dallin went to California for the Warriors vs. Clippers game, I finished
decorating the nursery. There are 13 different species of animal throughout the
room, see if you can spot them all. Make sure to include "cute-a-saurus" which is the label given to Everett on his shirt. My dad jokes that Everett won't be able to sleep with all of the scary animals staring him down. Dallin was pretty adamant that the crib shouldn't have a bumper pad because of the suffocation hazard. I thought the pad that came with the set was too adorable to get rid of, so I raised it up to where it is a safe decoration. We didn't originally plan for the theme of his nursery to be jungle/rainforest but after collecting a few things, we noticed the pattern, kept with it, and love it. The swing and bouncer he got from his Aunt Hanna unintentionally fit with the theme perfectly. You can see glimpses of them in previous posts.

Everett playing with his toys:
There are a couple of them that make noises when touched. At first I found this to be a little irritating, but now I love how they provide immediate reinforcement for him hitting them. He is in the process of figuring out how to control his arms. He hits himself in the face all the time. It's as if he's establishing his distance from other objects going back and forth between: my face, mommy's arm, my face, mommy's shoulder, my face, etc. It makes me laugh to picture an adult making the arm motions he does. They would look very silly, but Everett, he just looks precious.
