Visit from Grandpa, May and June holidays

Visit From Grandpa

Each morning was playtime for the kids and Grandpa, followed by a little outing, lunch, naps for everyone, and a family dinner and get-together each night.

St. John's Cathedral
We viewed " a ground-breaking interfaith East-West contemporary art exhibit featuring 47 premier Christian, Muslim and Jewish artists" inside the newer portion of the church and then did a self-tour of the cathedral.  These pics were taken as quick snapshots with my phone so they don't really show how massive or gorgeous it is. It was the last Gothic-style cathedral built in the United States.

These next two pictures are from what Everett calls "The City Park", an area on the hill by the senior/retirement community we live by that one resident has turned into a little park. It features drift-wood lined trails, figurines, a porch swing, a fire-pit, and an assortment of "reclaimed" furniture.

Dallin got a tomato plant and a hanging flower basket for his birthday. The kids love them too.

Ev quote:  I'm gonna go to the dentist without you; so can you teach me how to drive? I forgotted how to drive.

And now for some more picture stealing!
