Perazzo Reunion 2015

D- First things first: Adeline was an angel on this trip. Everett... I'll let his worried expression do the telling (He really did do great).

A- We drove! We took two different routes there and back so that we could see Calista, Tessa, and Beckham on our return trip. I did a Google search of "Oregon road trip" and these were some of the results that looked similar to our gorgeous views between Spokane and Lake Almanor.

Ladder Golf!!

To the face!

Grandpa John and Uncle Alan were probably the best at beanbags.
Volleyball
A- As one of my uncles said, the not-married team gets better each year while the married team gets less mobile. But somehow the married team wins more often.
Part of the volleyball cheering section:

Puzzle Pros

Eldritch Horror
A- These seven played this game through twice, for a total of about eight hours and ended up 1 for 2 against the board.

A- I played Eldritch Horror the first time and would have played again but I wanted to spend some time with Daniel's family. I played "Can You Name 5?" with Hanna, ladder golf and beanbags with Daniel and Hanna, and helped Brinley and Laila collect moths and try to catch a lizard.

The milk cup.

Holding on for dear life.

Everett's phrases of the week were, "I'm awake!" and, "What're we doin'?"

He spent quite a bit of time in his "castle" - the fire pit. Don't worry, we gave him a bath every night at camp.
He ended up with several bug bites, scrapes, bumps, and bruises. He didn't seem to mind too much.

Lake Almanor
D- We had a lot of fun playing at the beach. If Everett had his way, that's where we would have stayed. David, Alicia, Everett, and I went for a short canoe ride around our side of the shore. Ev seemed okay with that. The boat died, so Grandpa and Grandma Perazzo rented us all a boat for a day and a half. Adeline never went out on the boat, she got to stay on shore and bond with Grandma. One of the best Everett quotes of the week was him saying, "I want to go on a glory quest on the boat!" The cousins taught him "glory quest". I put valiant effort into getting up on the skis, and I felt like I got pretty close towards the end. But alas, I did not get up again this year. Alicia got up on the third or fourth try and also went kneeboarding. The next day Alicia and I took Everett tubing. He was not terribly keen on going tubing, but we got him out there and took it slow. Towards the end he turned to me and said, "Daddy, I'm mad." Might have pushed him a bit far. The rest of the week, though, whenever other people asked him about how he went tubing, he'd get a big grin on his face. Small parenting win? Maybe? We let him play on the beach after that while Alicia and I went tubing. We had a great time out on the water.

Storm's a brewin'

Everett on the tube!

Alice, Brent, and Alan

D- We were the second to last group to go on the first day with the boat, and the storm clouds were starting to gather. We had thunderstorms that afternoon, then we had a huge thunderstorm the next afternoon that felt like it could flood us out of camp.
A- The lighter rain was really neat. From under the pavilion we could see it raining in different sections of camp while not raining in others. With the sun still shining most everywhere. And we watched it grow heavier and even hail a little. During the three-hour rainstorm, most people went inside of cabins. I stayed under the pavilion with Everett and a few other people. We huddled in the kitchen, popped popcorn, played cards, and tried to keep things dry. Grandma Nancy showed Everett how to lace sewing cards.
