Christmas Eve and Day

Christmas Eve we flew into Salt Lake and happened to see Shannon, Jeff, and Axel at baggage claim. This was Adeline's first time meeting Jeff, and she got so excited she spit up on him.
We drove off in our lime green Kia Soul rental car to surprise my Grandma Lowe by showing up at her home. She happily welcomed us and my parents made her not fuss over our sleeping arrangements, etc.

Everett's favorite thing to do there was bring my grandma's dolls and  their baskets up and down the stairs. He would enlist my dad's help and they would carry upwards of four dolls at a time. When I tried to take a picture of him doing this, he got cranky and threw the baby down the stairs.

The weather was clear and nice when we arrived and through the night snow fell. We woke to a White Christmas.

Everett hadn't paid much attention to the presents under the tree until my cousin Leslie showed up with a few gifts. He immediately started selecting presents and handing them out at random. He also helped people open their presents.  I made calendars for my grandma and parents with the pictures for each month of what people in our family were doing "this time last year..."as in 2014.

We headed over to Jacob and Susan's home in Lehi to Skype with Michael. My parents would have preferred if I had not asked him what the scariest thing that had happened thus far on his mission was. (I'm just going to leave it at that with your interest peaked.) He and his companion sang us a hymn and he bore his testimony in Spanish. Susan translated for us. (She served a mission in Venezuela.)
